Mothers should be honored every day — that’s the sentiment of one upcoming event.

It’s a special tea party with an international flavor that will take place from 3 – 5 p.m. May 20 at the Paris Cafe in downtown Greenville.

The Mother’s Day Tea, sponsored by Cultural Care Au Pair, will feature a mix of international pastries, coffee and conversations for host moms and their au pairs. Moms interested in learning more about au pair child care are also invited to attend.

There will be sales of international cookbooks, children’s CDs and holiday cards. Proceeds will go to orphanages in Russia, Brazil and South Africa.

There will also be prizes, games and a drawing for a spa gift basket, said Nadia Price, local child-care coordinator for Cultural Care Au Pair, a child care agency that helps provide families child care while exposing them to a different culture. The event is free and open to the public.
